Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day but, before you add more stress to your already stressful life because of this made-up holiday, here’s a visual treat that’s all about calm, harmony and mindfulness.
Consider it a present to yourself on the eve of this lovey-dovey holiday that some us of may hate but none can escape.

For the second time in as many years, Lexus Spain has run a contest within the art community in the country, to find the perfect Lexus Art Car. This year, it’s a design by Valencia’s Clap Studio, and it’s like a breath of the freshest, purest air when you’ve been living in the city for far too long. It’s pretty, it’s artsy and it should be the perfect visual treat for your eyes.

Using a Lexus UX 250h as a blank canvas, this Art Car is called “Zen Garden” and uses as inspiration a classical Japanese meditation garden. We told you it was as pure and fresh as those thousands of white petals suggested. It is meant to symbolize the fact that man and nature can coexist in harmony.

“In our Zen garden, Lexus represents perfect harmony, it is the union of nature, technology and innovation. A man’s creation of geometric lines and impeccable symmetry covered in plant life,” the winning artists said of their work.

“We have used paper, a significant element in Japanese culture, to cover the car’s exterior in a form of Lexus vegetation, giving it volume,” they further explained. “Light is another essential quality in Japanese art and design and here it transforms the Lexus UX into a living thing. Depending on the position, tone and intensity of the light, it generates changing textures and colors throughout the day.”

A total of six designs were submitted as part of the competition, with “Zen Garden” winning the popular vote. It will be introduced to the greater public through a special media event held by Lexus Spain. You can see it in all its prettiness in the gallery attached.
