Perverted: A Look Under the Audi RS6's Skirt Reveals Akrapovic Exhaust

Why don't more tuning companies show us the underside of vehicles? I mean, the cars at the SEMA Show in Vegas are parked over mirrors just so you can see everything, but the Europeans are afraid of a little upskirting.

One French company by the name of BR-Performance has dropped all shame in an effort to get extra attention for its projects. The latest is an RS6 Avant from the current generation, but without the facelift.

We kind of like the RS6 better with the old LED headlights anyway, but the Akrapovic exhaust system wasn't available until last year. So the customer order BRP to have it retrofitted. It adds power by freeing up backpressure while also lightening the vehicle by a few kilos.

With the wagon fully raised off the ground, we can see everything that would normally be hidden away. The first thing we notice is that the RS6 features extra bracing that connects to the underside of where the spare wheel was.

As for the Akrapovic custom exhaust, it features a 2-1-2 configuration. Also, right before the end mufflers, there are a couple of smaller pipes that split out and are probably connected to the butterfly valves. And between the independent rear suspension system, you can see the quattro transfer case with variable lateral torque split.

This particular RS6 is fully customized with all the carbon fiber components from the Audi Exclusive catalog. They include mirror caps, a chin spoiler, the diffuser and plenty of interior elements. Buy you can't really tell where they are unless you get up close.

In a way, this dark silver wagon is better than the RS6 Performance currently in production. Thanks to BR-Performance's Stage 1+ kit, which include the aforementioned exhaust, new software and a Pipercross air filter, the output has been raised to 703 horsepower. Torque has also gone up from the standard 700 to 917 Nm of torque, according to the dyno tests.
