The fact that Moto Morini is not faring too well is old news, especially after the long and painful bankruptcy agony the brand went through only years ago. However, where there is hope mixed with creativity, there may also be a chance for a brighter future, and it looks like someone at Moto Morini came up with an interesting idea to boost sales: customers can now pay only half of a bike's price and get to ride it for 18 months.
The program has been named Moto Morini Rent and looks pretty much like some sort of a leasing program. Open for the Scrambleer, Corsaro and Granpasso, the Moto Morini Rent aims to test whether this idea will be able to push more bikes to the customers.

Well, what's happening after the 18 months, you surely wonder. Moto Morini has prepares three courses of action and they hope at least one of them will end up with selling a bike for good.

First of all, the natural flow of things: after the 18 months, the rider pays the remaining half of the bike, and becomes the full and sole owner of the machine. Knowing that some might not be able to raise the remainder of the money, Moto Morini will also be willing to just take the bike back, and that's it: they paid for 18 months of riding and the story is over.

On the other hand, if the rider liked the machine and is looking to get a newer one, , he will “trade” the old one and get a €1,500 ($1,930) discount on the new ride, for either purchasing or renting. Which is totally cool! Now we wait to see if this idea kicks off Moto Morini back into business...
