Father. Humanitarian. Friend. Paul Walker's was a life fully lived, and his legacy of kindness and compassion continues to inspire others.
These are the phrases used by Paramount Network to describe the I Am Paul Walker documentary which will air on August 11.

The trailer for the documentary was posted online at the end of July by the network. It shows how director Adrian Buitenhuis will be trying to capture the essence of a man beyond his portraying of the Brian O'Conner character in the Fast and Furious franchise, a character which captured the imagination of millions of car lovers.

The documentary will feature testimonies from both family and colleagues on the set of car-action-filled movies. The biggest absence in the documentary seems to be that of Vin Diesel, one of Walker’s best friends.

Paul Walker died on November 30, 2013, after the Porsche Carrera GT he was riding in crashed and burned in Santa Clarita, California. The car was being driven by former racing driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the incident. The bodies of both men were burned beyond recognition.

Following the crash, several lawsuits were filed by the families of the two men against Porsche. In 2016, a U.S. District Court ruled the German carmaker is not at fault for the crash and its consequences.

Even so, word surfaced of Porsche settling lawsuits with both Meadow Walker, Paul Walker's daughter, and his father.

In two separate cases, the two claimed the Carrera GT had design issues, including the lack of electronic stability control and faulty seatbelts. The seatbelt is said to have prevented Walker from exiting the burning car in time to save his life.

The case with Meadow Walker was settled in 2017, both Porsche and the woman asking in court for the case to be dismissed. The details of the agreement were never disclosed.
