Visitors to this year’s Daytona Bike Week event, who also happen to be fans of Paul Teutul Jr, will get the chance to witness the unveiling of a custom-built motorcycle that has been specially made by Paul Jr. Designs for online powersport auction company, CrankyApe.com.
The CrankyApe Chopper is based on a Harley Davidson motorcycle from the auction site. The custom bike will be then publicly auctioned on the CrankyApe.com website with the proceeds being donated to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF).
For those who are unfamiliar with the matter, the NLEOMF is a charitable organization that generates increased public support and commemorates the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
“While nothing can compare to what these fallen officers have given, we hope to help gain recognition and support for such a great charitable organization whose focus is on remembering those who gave the greatest sacrifice to our communities,” said Brian Livingston, who founded CrankyApe.com.
The customized motorcycle will be unveiled in Florida on March 11, 2011, with the event to be filmed for an episode of the Discovery Channel TV show, “American Chopper: Sr. vs. Jr.” television program, airing this spring.
In addition to the motorcycle whose auction proceeds will be donated to the NLEOMF, Paul Jr. Designs has built a completely custom chopper for the CrankyApe.com company. Paul Jr. fans and followers of the television show will be awarded a sneak-peek of the new creation at the same time as the charity bike. Later this spring the motorcycles will be brought back to Minnesota and displayed at the CrankyApe.com store.
