The sixth-generation 2021 Ford Bronco, in 2-Door and 4-Door form, is fast approaching the eagerly awaited moment of its first deliveries. Still, the anxiety of not knowing exactly (at least, not officially) when that happens needs to be tempered somehow. So, how about a trio of Broncos enabling some Stars and Stripes games around Lake Michigan’s renowned Silver Lake Sand Dunes?
In between Ford casually showcasing both interesting and decidedly cheap-looking Bronco builds in the MAP (Michigan Assembly Plant) parking lot, and the Supercel event (Bronco Super Celebration East, to be more specific), you’d think the ongoing game of spotting what is arguably the most eagerly awaited Blue Oval product of the decade would take a break.
Nope, that’s not going to happen. Of course, the U.S. automaker itself feeds the frenzy by sending the pre-production prototypes in all sorts of places. Granted, it’s also not that hard to imagine it didn’t take long for this patriotic trio of Broncos to reach the well-known Silver Lake Sand Dunes since we’re dealing with a three-hour (or so) drive from MAP.
Did anyone say anything about the Star-Spangled Banner by any chance? Well, we sure did. As such, we just can’t help but notice that both 2-Doors and the lonely 4-Door (each of them in various degrees of bikini wear judging by the stripped-down blue example) have been appropriately dressed up in Race Red (the fastback soft top Bronco), Oxford White (4-Door Wildtrack), and Velocity Blue (2-Door Badlands).
Even better, the spotter has also caught a couple of them playing like kids in the mud puddles. Interestingly, the doorless Velocity Blue Badlands hasn’t joined the party even though it clearly sports adequate extra protection thanks to a set of the (in)famous (some call them plain fugly) extra-wide fender flares.
By the way, we have no idea if we’re dealing with the same Silver Lake Sand Dunes location (the orange flags seem to imply so), but a bronco6g.com user (hat tip to Chio4) has also captured a couple of shots with two 2022 Warthog prototypes getting ready for their own adventures alongside some other unidentified camouflaged test vehicles.
