Patrick Stewart Drives McLaren 650S, Makes Fun of Clarkson on Twitter

With just a dozen of them in the US right now, we wondered what it would take to get behind the wheel of the brand new McLaren 650S. According to our own intel, you're either going to have to show proof of supercar ownership or be a famous actor.

Testing cars like a Sir, Patrick Stewart recently got behind the carbon-fiber encrusted wheel of an orange 650S Spider. The picture he posted on Twitter suggests that not only does he know the perfect length for shorts, but he also knows how to make fun of Jeremy Clarkson.

Would you believe Patrick is 73 years old? He doesn't look a day older than when he started filming Star Trek. The man was born during the German invasion of France for goodness sake, and here he is testing out a 650-hp supercar that goes from 0 to warp speed in 3 seconds.

Star Trek's Captain Jean-Luc Picard is a British car fan in General and a Jag aficionado to be more specific. He's owned an XJS V12 Convertible and says he loves the lines. The 650S Spider is right up his alley then.

Besides his really funny Twitter photos, Sir Stewart is in the spotlight right now because of his leading role in upcoming blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past where he plays Professor Xavier. His Twitter partner in crime, Ian McKellen, plays arch enemy Magneto.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
