You don't need to be a car aficionado to know Jay Leno has had his fair share of shotgun rides over the years. From muscle cars with more power than they can handle, to an otherworldly Koenigsegg driven by Christian himself, the US star has tons of passenger seat stories to tell.
So you wouldn't expect him to get worried at speeds below, say, 40 mph, right? Well, this is exactly what happens in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

We're dealing with a piece of the Jay Leno's Garage show here and this involves Jay Leno being "chauffeured" by Porsche racer and fellow star Patrick Dempsey.

Now, as those of you following the motorsport world closely know, Patrick has announced he would be taking a brake from racing earlier this year. The actor said he wanted to focus on his career and family.

However, this doesn't mean that Patrick couldn't hoon a Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK around Willow Springs Raceway for this episode of Jay Leno's show.

And no, the white knuckle moment mentioned above didn't come in the two-pedal Rennsport Neunelfer. Instead, we're referring to Jay getting a shotgun ride in a 1973 Carrera RS.

A moment of understeer from the Zuffenhausen classic was enough to make the show's host tense, but that's what driving friends are for, right? And keep in mind that the two were babying the car, all to keep its million-dollar status intact.

We're inviting you to head over to the "play" button below for the Porscha-packed Willow Springs action. The manic soundtrack is on the house.

P.S.: It's nice to see a clip that delivers such a valuable piece of Porsche history, especially since the German automaker;'s engineers are currently out on the road, testing the next generation of the rear-engined coupe (here are the latest spyshots).
