Parrot Takes Down Biker with Zero Braking Skills

It’s the second video involving motorized two-wheelers and parrots in several days and I am wondering whether this is going to become some sort of trend. However, while the blue macaw in our recent video seemed to enjoy flying around the guy riding a scooter, this new footage is not exactly a happy end one.
Well, given the fact that things could have easily ended much worse, we could say that the rider was lucky, but I am pretty sure that most of you would rather skip this kind of luck, and such a spill altogether. Now, most of the guys who ride a lot through the countryside have probably ran into similar scenarios, with birds and other animals intersecting their ways with the bikes’ tracks. This happens regularly, and serious accidents are caused by such encounters every now and then.

One of the good ways to avoid coming off the bike is… you guessed it – learning how to brake in an emergency situation and still remain upright, whether coming to a complete stop or slowing down enough to swerve past the obstacle being of little importance.

Deathgripping the brakes is definitely the worst choice a rider can make in such a predicament, and the shortest, surest way to crash. Adding a wet road to the equation, like it was the case in this short video only makes things worse, and skyrockets the chances of a crash.

Even when riding a bike without ABS, good braking skills on wet roads are enough to prevent a crash in such a situation, in most cases, history teaches us. Still, good braking skills come with experience and practice, making exercising emergency braking techniques on free or closed roads a very good routine even for experienced riders. After all, all experienced riders agree that one can never become too good a rider, and there will always be something around the next bend to teach him or her the truth behind these very words.
