The younger brother of Paris Hilton, Conrad, was recently involved in a car accident. It would seem Conrad was driving fast in Palm Springs Saturday afternoon when he clipped the back of another car while trying to change lanes.
The 19-year old was driving his 2013 BMW east on I-10 at a high rate of speed when he hit a car west of Date Palm Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. It would seem the younger brother of socialite-turned-reality star Paris Hilton was driving quite fast, considering officer Stephanie Hamilton said a U.S. Forest Service park ranger tried to stop him near Cherry Valley for speeding and passing on the right shoulder.
“The park ranger lost sight of Hilton’s vehicle shortly after the Highway 60 split. Several motorists called him in a for reckless driving, but he was not being pursued at the time of the collision,” the officer said, according to The Desert Sun. A CHP helicopter was overhead when the collision occurred, and investigators claim Conrad tried to change lanes to his right and hit the left rear of a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle in the right lane.
The BMW crashed with the rear of a tractor trailer before coming to a stop on the side of the road. Emergency crews had to free Hilton from his car and he was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with "major injuries," according to the CHP.
