Paris Hilton Readies 125GP Racing Team for 2011

The most shocking news to surface these days in the world of motorsport is that none other than Paris Hilton, the American socialite, is setting up her own 125GP team. Officially dubbed Team SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton, the unveiling is to be held at the Hotel ME in Madrid, Spain, on December 18, 2010.

The rumor that this high profile celebrity is to be jumping onto the MotoGP support series in 2011 has first been launched by the Motocuatro European website.

According to the aforementioned source, Team SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton will reportedly field two riders: 2010 Spanish 125 GP champion Maverick Vinales and former Pons Racing Moto2 rider Sergio Gadea.

Hilton will be accompanied by her partners, Nano, Xavi Montero and Ricard Garriga. Also attending will be Ricard Jove, sporting and technical director for the team.

The 125cc racing team is joined by Christian Lundberg and Rossano Brazzi, who combined with the talented motorcycle riders should make for a highly competitive team.

As bizarre as it sounds, this unusual and unexpected association has the potential to attract a lot more viewers to the MotoGP series.

However, it's not yet known what livery the race bikes will carry, bot most will place their bets on a hot pink motif.

We’ll remind you that, if true - we are still skeptical - Hilton will be the second high profile celebrity whose name is related to the MotoGP series. Latino actor Antonio Banderas has decided to stop bankrolling the Jack&Jones Moto2 team after one season of participation.
