Mercedes-Benz’ SLS Electric Drive, a unique proposition for prospective supercar buyers has been officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. With its striking chrome-blue finish, and no tailpipes it will strike many as being odd, yet it is a great way to spend €416,000 ($536,200), for those who have that kind of money, and are environmentally conscious.
With a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) coming up in 3.9 seconds, and a top speed which is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), it is more than capable to keep up with any supercar on the road (until the speed limit is reached, that is). Factoring in the massive torque figure of 1,000 Nm, as well as the four-wheel drive system, we expect this to be a very different experience to the regular V8 powered car.

We don’t really know how many of these 740 hp monsters Mercedes will manage to sell, but we will tip our hats to those who will actually buy them... with money.
