Can a supercar stay relevant and interesting for 10 years? When the Lamborghini Gallardo came out in 2003, they gave it a new V10 heart that was supposed to rival the Ferrari 360, which was that era’s Maranello marvel.
With 500 horsepower, the Gallardo was king of the hill for a long time. However, Ferrari introduced the 430 a bit later and replaced that with the ground-braking 458 Italia. So now, the baby Ferrari is comparable with the big V12 Lambo, not the Gallardo.
To keep the car relevant, Lamborghini shed all the unnecessary components, used carbon fiber all over but kept the luxury bits of the interior to make the LP570-4, the Superleggera.
From November, the lightweight Gallardo will be available Edizione Tecnica, which comes with a fixed rear wing, ceramic brakes and three standard paint combinations.
However, to highlight the full range of customization options, Lamborghini brought over this wonderful baby blue car, created by the Ad Personam program, which lets you choose whatever color configuration you want.
