Paradigm 180 Eco-Friendly Yacht Concept

Not as luxurious as the Streets of Monaco concept we presented to you last week, the Paradigm 180 watercraft still manages to impress with a design that proves that luxury, comfort and environment friendly designs can actually go hand in hand. Eco-friendly features include solar panels on the roof, wind turbines and an auxiliary electric motor to reduce emissions.

Designed by Pama Architetti Design, the Paradigm benefits from large, open spaces by incorporating folding balconies, sliding doors, low furniture and reflective surfaces. "It was important for the duo to connect the inside and outside as much as possible, blending interior and external spaces with clever use of lighting, textures and glazing," the company says.

The yacht ill have four guest cabins, spacious crew quarters, an exterior entertainment and dining area, a swimming pool forward and an upper deck reserved for the owner’s suite. The designers have even included a multi-purpose helipad deck in the stern, accessed by a few steps from a bar and spa area in the cockpit.

This is how Paradigm’s creators describe this concept: “Founded in March 2010 by Italian architects Alessandro Pannone and Francesco Malinconico, Pama Design has been carving a path in the field of yacht design, creating thoughtful and interesting concepts that go beyond the usual bounds of the industry.”

“The latest concept to emerge from the studio is the 60-metre motoryacht Paradigm. Departing from what Pannone and Malinconico describe as “the rigid patterns” that usually dictate yacht design, Paradigm is a concept that hopes to create a balance between form and function, man-made structures and the outdoor environment.”
