Pagani Zonda F Cinque Goes To Geneva

The 2009 Geneva Auto Show will receive a royal treatment from Italian manufacturer Pagani. The surprise prepared by Horacio Pagani comes in the shape of the one of a kind Pagani Zonda F Cinque, the underdeveloped brother of the R model.

The Zonda F Cinque is expected to be an intermediary model built to fill the gap between the radical Zonda R and the future Cinque model. Expected to surface in 2010, the Cinque model will share more than 90 percent of its features with the R model.

The screening of the F will only give us a small taste of the future Zonda. It is missing many features that will make up the Cinque, as the model Pagani will taunt us with in Geneva lacks the aerodynamic features found on the Zonda R and Cinque. It has many shortcomings, including the lack of the hood scoop and the rear diffuser.

The model does bring exciting features, such as the the black rims and tires, circled with a red line along the edge, as well as the exciting silver metal paint with red inserts.

Production of the Zonda Cinque has not yet begun and even when it will, there will not be much reason to celebrate. The Italian company wants to live up to its name of an exclusivist builder and will manufacture only five cars. All of the five units have already been sold, even if production is one year away.

Pagani took his Zonda R to the track in Monza a few days ago and presented us with a somewhat disappointing video of the trial. But no doubt, there is more to come from Pagani.
