Pagani Huayra Photos Leaked

Probably the most anticipated supercar in recent months, the well kept under wraps Pagani Huayra is slowly getting some skin to the recently acquired name (Huayra means “wind” in the Quechua ancient South American language). The manufacturer of the model has been teasing the car for quite some time now, getting it right and crisp for the official unveiling at the Geneva Auto Show this March. Unfortunately for them and luckily for us, the secret is now out, thanks to a leaked Car magazine brochure scan made public this week. Apparently, the guys working for the magazine have already had the opportunity to see the car, but have been holding back on the photos. Encouraged, or should we say forced by the circumstances, other sources, like CarsUK, released, soon after the scan was made public, the first photo of the model. Even with the car now out in the open, there's little information available. Some details about the car can be learned, however, provided you have very good eye-sight and have some Spanish aunt in your family (the scans come from the Spanish version of the Car magazine). Whereas what will lie under the body of the vehicle still remains a mystery, sources point to Pagani using a V12 unit which will make its competitors (Bugatti Veyron or Lamborghini) tremble in fear: the Huayra will develop 690 bhp, thrusting the car to a top speed of 250 mph (402 km/h). Of course, all that power comes at an exclusive cost. With around 20 units said to be planned for production each year, the Huayra will set you back GBP850,000 ($1.35 million, EUR1 million). autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
