Pagani Automobili has finally released the fifth and final part of a documentary that details the company’s beginnings, from the dreams of a little boy in Argentina to the company we know today.
The documentary begins with a short history of Horacio Pagani and his dreams and passions as a child. As a young boy, he was fascinated with the racing legend Juan Manuel Fangio, whom he later got to meet, as well as the artistic and technical skill of Leonardo Da Vinci.
Part two moves on from the early years to the foundation of Pagani Automobili in 1992. From then on, the development of his first car, the Zonda C12, then the Zonda F and other masterpieces are covered in detail.
In part four, we find out what happens when a customer want the Zonda to be fully unshackled for track use, and after that we get to find out about the company’s more recent work with the Huayra. The company wants to make 40 of these per year, all powered by an M158 twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 from Mercedes AMG, producing 720 horsepower.
Few people still remember that Horacio Pagani was formally the manager of Lamborghini’s composites, having been involved with the LM002 and the Diablo.
