Guess what? The Internet is now buzzing with new hot news related to the Italian company. The automaker is currently testing the successor of the Zonda model, with the vehicle using the C9 internal code. The vehicle will come with an interesting cabin access solution, using a set of gullwing doors, as autoweek reports.

During an interview held earlier this year at the Geneva Auto show, Horacio Pagani, the founder of the company, confirmed us that the C9 (which will receive a proper name, by the way) will be a completely new vehicle.
The car, which is expected to enter production later in the year, will also use a different market approach compared to the Zonda. While the latter was only sold on certain markets, the C9 will be offered globally, also being marketed in the U.S.
However, the good news also brings a bad one. The U.S. market entry means that the vehicle will have to meet stricter emission and safety standards, which might mean that it will use hardware that could make it a bit heavier or put a little leash on its powerplant. But, we’ll have to wait and see...
And speaking of the C9’s engine, the vehicle will use a V12 powerplant built by Mercedes’s AMG performance division (it will destined exclusively to the car), which will let the driver play with an alleged 700 hp and a torque of 737 lb-ft.
