Pagani Brought Two Customer Huayras at Geneva to Prove a Point

A while back, well before the Geneva Motor Show kicked off, Pagani released a statement saying that they had already sold all their cars and are now moving into a new phase. And just in case you thought they were just bragging, the company decided to take a new approach towards the Swiss show.

Keeping true to their statement, they brought two customer cars to the venue, both Huayras, one in red and one in silver. Considering how other hypercar manufacturers brought out their best and newest models in Geneva, you might’ve thought that Horatio could do the same but as it turns out, he’s not concerned about his company’s future.

The truth of the matter is, they are doing just fine at the moment and developing a new model would need some serious research and development money. Of course, we wouldn’t mind seeing a Pagani take on the newest Koenigseggs, especially in hybrid guise as it seems to be the trend these days.

Until then, we’ll have to get by with the Huayra and that’s more than a decent proposal. Actually, if you think about the specs and performance, it’s downright indecent.

That’s because under the hypecar has a twin-turbo 6-liter V12 engine that makes 730 HP and 740 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque coupled to a 7-speed sequential gearbox that sends it all to the rear wheels. The entire thing weighs just 1,350 kg (2,980 lbs) dry and will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds, going all the way up to a top speed of 230 mph (370 km/h).

At the moment, this is the the fastest car that was ever taken round Top Gear’s world famous track by none other than the Stig, being faster than car like the BAC Mono, Lamborghini Huracan and even the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
