There’s nothing better than being able to design your house in a way it puts the car on the first place. It’s the case of this peculiar building sitting on the margin of a hill whose garage opens up straight into the driveway. It’s what you’d call the classic car fort and it proves how special an old-school two-seater can get for a true petrolhead.
This building is located in Echo Park, Los Angels so we’re assuming there’s some famous fellow owning it. Nevertheless, the fact that he’s driving a classic Porsche 930 Turbo already tells a lot about his lifestyle. As opposed to others living it big, however, we can’t but appreciate the way he admires and respects the car.

Starting with a vacant lot with a very steep down-slope from the street, the design of the house places the carport on the roof with the residence below. Anonymous Projects, the architecture company who designed this beauty, dubbed the building “Car Park House” for the obvious reason. They claim they have willingly created it this way to reverse the passers-by expectations.

In addition to being a dramatic shift of expectations, it is also a logical response to the building code which requires parking for two vehicles. This inversion moves the typical ground floor of the house up on the roof and makes the simple act of arriving home and driving onto the roof of the house - a surprise every time,” its creators explain.

And yes, it’s housing two cars not one, with the second being even better than the first (or at least as good). Judging by the color we might as well consider the Ferrari Daytona is “the car for her”, but that’s just a long guess.

So let’s recap for a second here. We’re looking at this gorgeous mansion build with reversed floors, whose owners actually drive not one, but two jaw-dropping classics. Someone please call 911...
