Aside from the obvious advantages of driving a supercar on the road (extreme performance, crowd-puller, fun and ‘that special something’), there are also many disadvantages to driving such a machine. It could happen, at any given time, at any given set of traffic lights for somebody to rear-end you, and cause you a whole world of trouble...
Like it has happened before, with this matte-black Lamborghini Murcielago which was hit by a truck, it has happened again, but this time the ‘victim’ was a brand new orange Lambo Aventador (which we recently tested and loved).
The unfortunate event took place in the city of Ningbo, in China, where apparently the Italian supercar was hit up its backside by a Toyota Prius Hybrid. The impact has severely damaged the rear end of the Lambo, and since the car has no plates, the owner will have to pay the hefty repair bill on his own.
Following the crash, the driver and passenger of the Toyota had to be taken to hospital, while the Aventador driver walked away completely unscathed – at least its full-carbon fiber construction proved its excellent safety credentials here.
