Orange LaFerrari Has Nothing To Do with McLaren's Papaya Orange

After Ferrari introduced the LaFerrari back in 2013, the work was so thirst for Maranello's new halo car that spotters and fans kept track of the first time a new color was seen on the hypercar.
While most of that thirst was quenched, we can't help but enjoy the sight of the first orange LaFerrari. This is a one-off, but you can't quite talk about other LaFerraris as "average" - the Prancing Horse is only building 499 units of the 950 hp (963 PS) machine, so each one deserves plenty of attention.

Returning to the orange LaFerrari, this was recently spotted at the Spa-Francorchamps, but the vehicle didn't enter the track.

This LaF reportedly belongs to a man who's so in love with the hybrid hypercar that he also bought its racing version, the FXX K. So while the owner did come to the famous Belgian track in his LaFerrari, he spent his circuit time inside the FXX K.

This shade of orange is called Arancio Triplo Strato in Ferrari language, with its name also making reference to the tree layers of paint it involves.

With so many people talking about Ferrari's Rosso Corsa when a Red Porsche or Lamborghini appears, we feel the need to mention this LaFerrari may have something to show to McLaren owners.

Just like Ferrari is associated with the hue mentioned above, McLaren is deeply connected to Orange. The British carmaker's Papaya Orange showed up back in the late 60s, coming from the manufacturer's motorsport roots.

The color isn't the only element of this LaFerrari that stands out

And the hue of the car isn't the only element that sets it apart from other LaFerraris. For one thing, the engine bay, in all its carbon fiber glory, is heavily... signed.

There are dozens of signatures under the transparent engine cover of this Ferrari, with this being some sort of an icing for this Maranello cake.
