OpenBay Takes Auto Repairing to the Next Level

It’s not out of the ordinary to drive along and suddenly hear a weird noise coming from your car’s engine, for example. If you don’t know what to do, and you don’t want to make it worse, you call your mechanic and start asking for advice.

With this new app, called OpenBay, you can skip the long calls, and directly send photos or videos for the mechanic to quickly say what he thinks the problem is, based on what he sees.

OpenBay also works the opposite way, as when the mechanic tells you something is wrong with your car you can ask for photo or video proof of the issue.

For this to work, both shops and customers must have the latest version of the app installed on their devices.

You could say sending pictures or videos is also possible without having this new feature, but what you don’t know and are about to find out is that OpenBay incorporates a multitude of services built around car repair.

Dealers, franchises, mobile mechanics or independent shops are all there at the touch of your finger. An important feature is that they give detailed responses to services, and you can even rate or write a review, according to Autoblog.

With this app, you can ask about prices, labor rate, and taxes, or make comparisons based on distances. Moreover, the app will even record every repair performed. Apparently, repair shops don’t pay to be on OpenBay, and they only get paid after the job is done.

Every payment is done through the app and is guaranteed by OpenBay, which insists on being safer and easier than ever. All of the repair shops are thoroughly analyzed to ensure a high-quality experience and are required to tell the customers if the prices have changed from the original quote before starting to work on their cars.

All in all, this looks like a great app that makes the job easier for customers and mechanics alike.
