When GM started playing with the idea of a B-segment crossover, people thought they would fail miserably. However, they succeeded in making three interesting crossovers from the same Corsa-sourced platform.
The Opel Mokka can justifiedly be called the most successful of the bunch. Its strong looks hide the fact that it's still a small car and a compile engine range offers the sort of choices its rivals might struggle with.
The German-branded mini-SUV has become a best-seller with orders reaching 100,000 just seven months after its launch.
To celebrate their achievement, Opel has introduced novelties to the range. The most powerful petrol engine offered, the 1.4-liter Turbo, is now available with front-wheel drive and six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. New infotainment offers and a Bose sound system change the feel of the interior, while a fresh set of 19-inch wheels means you never have to visit a tuner.
“The Opel Mokka is a huge success just a few months after its market launch – it is a hit both with customers and trade experts. This is also underlined by the many awards our newcomer has already received, including the All-wheel car of the Year,” says Duncan Aldred, Acting Vice President Sales, Marketing & Aftersales at Opel/Vauxhall. “To keep it headed to the top, we’re making the Mokka even more attractive with new powertrains and high-end infotainment units – and thereby appealing to additional customers”
