The Adaptive 4x4 system, a combination of mechanical and hydraulic all-wheel drive systems, fights to provide optimal traction in all driving conditions. It keeps the wheel stationary until the corrective measures takes effect, allowing for traction on sand or mud even if only one rear wheel can find grip. In case it detects the car travels on a highway, it reverts to front-wheel drive to reduce friction loss and save fuel.
The refreshments to the Insignia range do not stop to the addition of the Adaptive 4x4 system. They extend to the Sports Tourer version, for which Opel will offer the Indian Summer and Sport Edition. To be introduced this August, the editions will boast high quality Nappa leather in Indian Summer color and Cashmere stitching.
The Sport Edition Pack, also be be launched later in the summer, comes with black interior, OPC Line leather steering wheel and gear shifter and 19-inch or 20-inch alloys. This edition will be available in Cosmos and Sport Trim level.
