We don't know what's wrong with us, but we're just suckers for hot hatches, especially the German ones. And while we're not particularly exited about owning an Opel, that doesn't mean we can't share the dreams of every OPC owner.
The Corsa OPC is probably a car that arrived before the world was ready for it. A direct rival to the Clio III RS, it arrived powered by a smaller 1.6-liter turbo engine which people didn't like at the time of launch, but which is now the industry norm.
Opel also gave the Corsa OPC a job in motorsport, something that the Ford Fiesta ST still doesn't have. Nurburgring packages, more standard kit and radical looks were all insufficient to make this the hot hatching.
All that frustration quickly dissipates once you get behind the wheel of the car and just go for a drive, forgetting about milliseconds and track times. Just go for a drive, listen to that Akrapovic exhaust and hear those tires search for grip.
