Opel Corsa Color Race Edition Unveiled

One of the few special edition Opel vehicles to be launched in the last twelve months by the German carmaker broke cover today, unveiling an exciting paint scheme over the worked out body. The Corsa Color Race edition has been made available for 15,560 euros and in three color choices: Sunny Melon Yellow, Casablanca White and Magma Red, all combined with an interesting checkered styling on the hood.

The exterior modification also include the bodywork, with the Corsa receiving a more muscular appearance thanks to the body kit and the 17-inch
alloy wheels. On the inside, the exterior color theme is continued with special seat stitching and vent bezels, a Panorama sunroof and a leather-clad steering wheel.

Under the black hood, the Corsa Color Race packs a 1.4l gasoline engine, which develops 87 horsepower and eats up 5.3 l/100 km for the wide range transmission and 5.5 l/100 km when equipped with the close range gearbox. A version of the engine which develops 100 horsepower consumes 5.5 l/100 km.

The second engine offered with the Corsa edition is the 1.7 CDTI, which develops 130 horsepower and 300 Nm torque. This unit has a fuel consumption rating of only 4.5l/100 km.

Below you will find a video showing the Opel Corsa Color Race Edition together with it's source of inspiration, the Rallye Kadett B "Sprint". We're sorry to say, exciting as it was seeing the two in one place in the beginning of the video, we kinda missed the point of the "playing chicken" scene...
