Opel Corsa Color Edition Debuts in Germany

While the parent company is waiting for an official decision whether it stays alive with the help of an outside investor or by stepping under bankruptcy protection, engineers working at Opel have rolled out a new Opel Corsa special version, this time entitled Color Edition. In case there's a slight feeling of a deja-vu, it probably comes from the Opel Corsa Limited Edition, a separate special flavor of the Corsa unveiled at the Leipzig International Auto Show in Germany.

The two special editions are basically the same, but let's detail the Color Edition a little bit and see what it is made off. The car comes with black painted roof, big black 17-inch alloy wheels, also available in silver, dark tinted rear lights, rear window and rear side windows, black grille, fog lamps and chromed exhaust tailpipes.

The interiors have been customized as well with a piano-painted center console, sports seats, aluminum sport pedals and leather steering wheel. Among the main features we can mention the air conditioning system, CD radio, electric windows and central locking.

The car is powered by a Opel's 1.2-liter ECOTEC gasoline engine that develops 80 horsepower. Pricing starts at 14,995 euros in Germany (around $20,800 in the current exchange rates).

The new Color Edition looks indeed appealing but comparing it with the recently-debuted Limited Edition, only a few minor differences can be spotted. For example, the Color Edition comes with white mirror cases - black on the Limited Edition - and with black alloy wheels - white on the other version. Additionally, the Limited Edition is being offered in multiple engine configurations, both diesel and gasoline.
