Nothing relieves those "oh god, this is car is FWD" worries like adding a prop shaft and making it AWD. Even though Opel added trick suspension to the Cascada convertible and honed it around the Nurburgring, people might not take it seriously as an Audi A5 competitor, not unless it offers some serious performance.
Theophilus Chin today proposed a rendered design for an OPC version of the Cascada. The car gains a new front end design and larger alloy wheel, side skirts and of course dual exhaust.
The Cascada doesn't need the V6 from the Insignia OPC, as the 280 PS 2.0 turbo from the hot Astra should be more than a match.
Opel could really do with such a car to boost its image. Problem is, with the way the company's sales are going right now, it probably can't afford to make another very expensive, slow-selling car.
