The standard version of an Opel Astra J Turbo develops no less than 180 horsepower, which could be enough for many of us. Enough, but not too hot for the tuners at EDS Fahrzeugtechnik, who decided to give the car a ‘small’ boost. Actually, the company has doubled the rated power using traditional engine tuning, thus resulting a maximum output of 360 horsepower and a maximum torque of 480 Nm.

In details, the following components of the engine were removed, replaced and re-installed: pressure reducing high-performance needle valve – 980 Euro, high-quality steel connecting rod – 550 Euro, HG Motorsport turbo manifold – 1,200 Euro, EDS high-performance charge air cooler – 600 Euro, Garret GT28 turbocharger – 1000 Euro, 100 mm air-flow meter – 300 Euro, 550 cm3 injectors – 500 Euro, 70 mm down pipe with HJS 200CPSI Sport catalyst – 800 Euro, Friedrich Motorsport 70 mm stainless steel exhaust system – 800 Euro, 240 mm EDS Sport clutch kit – 1,100 Euro and Quaife differential lock – 900 Euro. The engine adjustment by EDS Fahrzeugtechnik costs 1,000 Euros.

The necessary stopping power is provided by larger brakes, with 356 x 32 mm perforated discs and 8-piston calipers (2,000 Euro). The vehicle has also received a 70 mm down pipe which includes a sport catalyst, a 70 mm stainless steel exhaust system, a 240 mm EDS Sport clutch kit and a Quaife differential lock.

Creating the physical and visual connection to the road are the 20 inch Schmidt alloys with “Titan” cirrus decorative parts wrapped in Pirelli P.Zero tires (3,200 Euro total). The prepared Cirrus decorative parts are available at the following link in eight different colors – black, chrome, carbon, red, silver, titanium, white and yellow.

EDS Fahrzeugtechnik says the final assembly of all parts costs additional 2,500 Euro.
