Opel Astra Gets Destroyed in Highway Accident in Russia

We say that guard rails on highways are extremely important, as it may be very easy for a driver to doze off and then end up in the oncoming lanes, causing a crash of catastrophic proportions. This is one of the more severe crashes we’ve seenm and it involves an Opel Astra hatchback and a Honda CR-V.
The accident took place on a Russian highway, and it seems as if the Astra was trying to overtake another car (probably the CR-V), when it is hit from behind, destabilized and eventually rolls and stops on its roof - the car is completely totaled.

If guard rails would have been in place at the spot, the driver of the Astra would have hit them, spun around a few times and the damage to his car would most likely have been repairable.
