Introduced at last year’s Paris Motor Show, the Eisenach-built Opel Adam city car has hit the market in early 2013. Though powered by a couple of small displacement four-cylinder powerplants, the puny Adam gained a 1.6-liter engine to become a rally car.
It might sound like a joke, but it isn’t. The little two-door vehicle now had 140 HP under the hood and Claus Moller’s YouTube video shows that the Adam is ready to raise some dust and rip some asphalt in Rally Cup configuration.
Ok, so it’s not a Citroen DS3 WRC, but it’s much cheaper to buy one at only €25,000 ($32,530) and race it in the ADAC Opel Rally Cup. Now scroll below to see what this little Opel can do with a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine.
In other Opel Adam related news, the Rocks concept was unveiled at Geneva last month as the German company is looking to expand its lineup.
