Rumor has it Opel and Vauxhall are about to approve the Adam Convertible for production. Previewed by the Adam Rocks Concept, which made its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the open-top version of the Adam could be green-lighted for production soon.
According to Auto Motor und Sport, the Opel Adam Convertible will be offered with an electronically-operated soft top similar to the ones fitted on the Citroen DS3 Cabrio and the Fiat 500C, two of the German vehicle’s future rivals.
Once place on the assembly line, the Adam Cabrio will likely be fitted with the same engines from the regular version. This means a 1.2-liter petrol unit with 70 HP and two 1.4-liter petrol options, with 87 HP and 100 HP respectively.
As speculated earlier this year, the cabrio version of the Adam could be introduced in 2014.
