ONE100, the Dubai Mansion With Custom Harley You Can’t Ride, Rolls and 599 GTO

Custom work is art, but has it ever been so in a more literal sense? A fully-custom Harley-Davidson is now selling with a sumptuous mansion in Dubai, the UAE, and you can’t even ride. Because it’s an actual art installation.

ONE100 is one of the most luxurious, one-of-a-kind pieces of real estate on the man-made, palm-shaped island of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, the UAE. It was completed just this month, after years of hard work on part of the current owner (and seller) and a team of award-winning architects from South Africa, SAOTA. And it is for sale already.

The story of ONE100 is an interesting one even if you don’t have $32.7 million to splurge on it. It currently belongs to businessman Michael Alibhai from Sweden, whose Dubai-based company handles manufacturing for some of Europe’s biggest fashion labels, like Zara, Mango and Diesel. Dude is loaded, to put it simply.

Almost a decade ago, he set out to build himself the perfect home in Dubai, and he would spend the next nine years pouring over every detail that would go into it. He worked, of course, with SAOTA, and the result is a sprawling mansion that includes every luxury you could think of, in more copies you could think of, a packed garage and unique art.

Indeed, while the house would probably attract attention of itself, since it’s as shiny, sumptuous and lavish as to make any Kardashian happy there, Alibhai is sweetening the deal with a few sets of luxury wheels. One of them you can’t even ride, which is probably the very definition of “too rich for one’s good.”

It’s a fully-custom Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide in striking yellow. The listing at Luxhabitat Sotheby’s International Realty doesn’t offer more details about the motorcycle, but it does say it was built in the U.S. and then shipped to Dubai. It also doesn’t say whether this is a functional bike, but by the looks of the video at the bottom of the page, it’s meant for showcase only, since it’s placed over a body of water. Sure, there is the chance it could be taken out and put on an actual road, but there goes your spontaneity!

The garage of ONE100 is stocked, so you don’t have to worry about walking or, heaven forbid, ride-share anywhere. A $600,000+, very rare Ferrari 599 GTO and a $330,000 Rolls-Royce Wraith come as part of the package, included in the neon-lit, custom-made garage.

The mansion sprawls across 14,000 square feet (1,300 square meters) of space, and includes five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. There are also three different bars, three movie theaters and three kitchens. Excuse you for thinking the owner feels somewhat of a connection with this magic number.

Jokes aside, one of these three bars is a vodka-only bar (with Magnum sized bottles of Ciroc, Stolichnaya Elit and Crystal Head), while one of the three gourmet kitchens is a professional restaurant galley. Two of the movie theaters are outdoors (one by the pool and one in the jacuzzi), while the third is full IMAX, for more “formal” moviegoing experiences, including a massive candy bar and concession stand. There are also several dining areas, lounge areas, and a wine cellar with only the rarest and most exquisite wines and champagnes. To cap it all off, ONE100 offers breathtaking views from all sides.

Every bit of furniture and furnishing is bespoke or customized. You get Bentely Home glasses and seats, Fendi, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Dior Home, and book-matched marble in the bathrooms and kitchens. You also get the art inside, besides the custom Harley: chrome sculptures (crocodiles, puppies and pumas, if you’re into that sort of thing), paintings and framed photographs, from famous artists like Eero Arnio and Richard Orlinsky.

“I wanted to blow people’s minds when they would visit me. Before this, I never ever saw a project that would blow my mind,” the owner tells Arabian Business magazine, when asked what motivated him to spend a decade working on this house. This begs the question, then: how come he’s selling it, without having spent one night in it?

It’s the terrible times we’re all living in, he says.

“Just as I have completed this piece of art, I came to realize the importance of family,” he explains. “I have been missing out on valuable moments in life and having close friends passing away forced me to reconsider my life.”

Here’s to hoping someone else might reconsider theirs too, so they would snap up this lavish mansion with a piece of Harley-Davidson art. Which you probably can’t ride, remember.
