The "One World. One R 1200 GS" adventure is now over, and one of the bikes which went around the planet in this amazing journey now rests in its well-earned place in the BMW Museum in Munich, Germany.
April 13 marked the end of the story for 5 lucky riders who have won the privilege of riding BMW's latest big adventure tourer R1200GS bike in 5 rounds around the world: Laos, New Zealand. South Africa, USA and finally, Europe. With the "One World. One R 1200 GS" started back on January 25, the riders summed up 12,600 km (7,830 miles).

British rider Stephanie Rowe was the one who rode the R1200GS into the very museum, after being accompanied by over 50 GS riders during the last leg of the journey between the cities of Innsbruck and Munich.

The R1200GS was signed by the 5 winners and the members of the jury who elected them: Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody, motor sport legend Jutta Kleinschmidt, Hollywood action star Rick Yune and TV adventure rider and actor Charley Boorman.

Dr. Ralf Rodepeter, Director of the BMW Museum was presented the motorcycle in front of an audience of over 3,000, with around 300 bikes present, including the one Jutta Kleinschmidt rode herself.
