One Prius, Two Prius(es)...?

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will go down in history as the event during which the Prius, the most successful hybrid of all time, got married and had children. During the event, the Prius became Priuses, or the new Prius family, a line of vehicles which will form the basis of the future Toyota lineup.

As with any new family arriving in the neighbourhood, the Priuses need to make themselves known to the world. And since cars can't actually go door to door and hand out cakes, the godfather, Toyota, decided to give it a little boost with the help of advertising gurus Saatchi & Saatchi.

At the end of last week, the car maker announced the launch of the marketing campaign for the new models, simply and very eloquently titled “Prius Goes Plural.” And it is not all about the attributes and features of the Prius, Prius plug-in hybrid, Prius v or Prius c Concept. No. It's all about grammar.

“What do you call more than one Prius?,” Toyota asked itself and then Saatchi & Saatchi. Saatchi & Saatchi had no idea how to answer that, so they decided to ask you, the customer, through a whole range of channels: T-shirts with possible plurals, online (YouTube, Facebook), Web videos with experts having their say on the etymology of the word Prius, and much, much more.

As any normal humans would do, we too tried to give an answer to the Toyota question and we bet that after you read the above, you too will want to play along. So, what do you call more than one Prius? (use comment box below, only funny answers will be approved).
