One-Off Custom BMW Chopper by Francis Villedon

Some might tempted to believe that the only right way to a head-turning custom bike is the American chopper. French bike builder Francis Villedon begs to differ and backs his suspicion with Mimosa, a nifty custom bike to raise your pulse.

Despite his tradition with Harleys, Villedon felt like using an old R60/7 as a starting bike was challenging enough. The bike's line is sleek and multiple modifications have added serious points on the cool factor scale.

The rear of the frame was turned into a hardtail design based on Francis' sketches. With the rest of the frame fixed to the engine, some components had to go to leave room for the 5-speed gearbox, kick-starter, gel battery and all. The valve caps are also new and fit the whole appearance better.

Carburetors have been replaced and the air intake system now looks simply breathtaking and aggressive at the same time. The tubular frame also houses the throttle cable and electric wiring and makes the Mimosa very clean, design-wise. Villedon went for a 16-inch rear wheel while the front one is a 21-inch trial rim. The form comes from a R80RT police bike but has been modified to accommodate the disc brake wheel.

The Villedon Mimosa can load up to 2.1 gallons (8 L) of fuel thanks to the additional 0.7-gallon (2.5 L) tank under the seat. Finally, you get a manual lever for neutral and an awesome color scheme: with engine, exhausts, intake pipes, cylinder and rims black and bright yellow for the frame, valve caps and even the seat.

Unfortunately you won't be getting this: after being sold twice to tender owners, the Mimosa Villedon is now housed in the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt, Germany.
