BMW couldn’t have left the most powerful car they ever made out of the Leipzig Auto Show so they took every needed measure to bring one of the only 300 units ever to be built to the German venue.
Luckily for us, the guys from Bimmertoday, being German residents themselves, brought along their cameras for the event and quickly snapped some photos of the rarest M5 ever made, the BMW 30 Jahre M5, to show us how it looks like in real-life.

The frozen silver color of the paint is absolutely mesmerizing in direct sunlight and really makes things shine in a beautiful way. The bi-color competition wheels complete it perfectly, adding the grunt this car needs with their bespoke finish.

Underneath them you can spot golden brake calipers and cross drilled rotors signaling a massive stopping power was fitted to this ride. They are made of carbon and you don’t even want to know how much they cost. It’s all worth it though because this is the fastest production BMW ever made and the most powerful.

With 600 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque coming out of the upgraded S63 twinturbo 4.4-liter V8 and going to the 7-speed DCT gearbox, it’s hard to imagine just how fast this 2 ton car is. It will do 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.9 seconds, despite being a rear-wheel-drive car.

Exclusivity comes in the shape of various stickers and unique logos all around the car, like on the side gills, the door sill finishers and the dash trims and, of course, through the limited number of models to be built.

The USA’s share of these beauties was already sold out on May 21st, all 29 of them being sold for a starting price of $138,725. There’s also one kept on the side by BMW USA that will be sold at a later date, after being shown around at various events across the continent.
