Two weeks ago, BMW sold all 29 special edition BMW M5 30th Anniversary models reserved for the US over telephone, at a special number unveiled gradually on Instagram. The 30th model was reserved for the USA branch of the company to be put up for display at various events.
If you’re biting your nails because you missed the chance to get one, fret not as we’re here to help you out, as usual. A quick search on eBay got us in touch with a very sharp individual that got his hands on one of these beauties and is now selling it for no less than $200,000.

Now, let’s see what makes this car worth so much money. First of all, it’s being made in limited numbers, only 300 of these models being scheduled for production, to celebrate 30 years since the original was introduced to the world.

Second, it’s the fastest production model BMW ever built and the most powerful. Compared to the standard version, it has 40 HP extra and 20 Nm more, reaching a grand total of 600 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, all of which is going to the rear wheels.

Hooked up to an automatic 7-speed DCT gearbox, the car will do 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in under 4 seconds, 3.9 to be exact, despite weighing 1,870 kg (4,123 lbs) and being capable of hauling around 5 people in comfort.

All cars will be wearing a Frozen Dark Silver Metallic finish on the outside with Competition Package wheels while inside you get a plethora of optional features to play with, including a 1,200 W Bang & Olufsen sound system. Furthermore, a plate with the vehicle’s number will be installed on the passenger’s side dash.

The price might be a bit high, considering that BMW sold them starting at $138,725, including the destination and handling tax. However, this man knows that a lot of people missed the chance to get one and plans to capitalize on it. Good for him.

However, the car will be delivered to you in 4 to 6 months if you decide to go for it, and requires a deposit of 50% in an attorney escrow account, the reminder to be paid at delivery. Check out the original ad for more details.
