Chevrolet is turning 100 years old this year, and what better way to start the next 100 than with a sales landmark being reached. Today, the American automotive brand has announced that their one millionth Cruze has been sold this week.

“I can’t think of a better birthday present,”
said Chris Perry, vice president, global Chevrolet marketing and strategy. “Cruze’s combination of style, comfort, fuel-efficiency and safety is a hit across the globe. Our customers know a winner when they drive it.”

The Cruze became Chevrolet’s global mid-size sedan back in 2009 and was subsequently introduced in the US as well last year. It’s also been their best seller in the segment for the last 10 month in the US. Globally, Cruze is the fourth best-selling nameplate in its segment and the seventh best-selling nameplate overall.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
