Pro-Touring is a rather popular restomod style, and as opposed to SEMA builds, these muscle cars are modified with an emphasis on the driving part. Don’t, however, think that the looks don’t matter. “Black No. 1” here is a testament that driveability and aesthetics can be juxtaposed into a fine automobile.
Starting with a 1969 Camaro, the svelte pro-tourer in the photo gallery wears a two-stage black paint with a deep gloss that works especially well with Rally Sport motifs like the smoothed bumper and seamless valance. The F2 mirrors and cowl induction hood add to the visual drama, but then, you may notice the tires.

BF Goodrich G-Force Rival rubber boots are featured on all four corners of the ‘Maro, 275 fronts and ultra-wide 335 tires for the rear end. Together with Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear suspension and upgraded front suspension, there’s no denying this fellow here is pretty good at carving them corners.

Stopping power comes courtesy of Wilwood power disc brakes with 12-inch rotors, the rear axle is a 12-bolt GM unit, and under the hood, the engine bay is full of small-block V8 goodness. The 6.0-liter LS2 engine cranks out 400 horsepower (406 PS) right off the bat, yet still, there’s a possibility that we are dealing with a little bit more oomph thanks to rectangular-port 823 heads and an upsized cam.

The interior matches the ominous theme of the exterior with a fifth-gen Camaro console, a short-throw shifter wrapped in leather, modern air conditioning, an audio system from Kenwood, red-tinged carpets, billet pedals, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. Both the front and rear seats are complemented by Cipher Auto harnesses to bring the point home about this pro-tourer’s capability to go round corners.

Offered for sale by RK Motors Charlotte, the muscleclad ‘Maro also sweetens the deal with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a hydraulic clutch. About the asking price, well, the North Carolina-based dealer wants $139,900.
