Almost two years after the latest iteration of the SLK 55 AMG moniker was introduced, the previous, R171 SLK 55 AMG has finally been targeted by Germans at MEC Design.
Naturally, their efforts shouldn't be downplayed, since the previous generation of the car can still be found in large-ish numbers on the road and most owners will probably appreciate any new option of a makeover for their cars.
The only technical bit tickled by the MEC Design engineers consists of the suspension, which has been optimized for a sportier feel when driven hard and lowered.
On the appearance side, the standard AMG body-kit has been kept, although the overall look of the car has been enhanced with the help of a set of ConDeni Nobilis 1 rims finished in a black and red combination.
They wheels are 8,5x19 on the front and 9,5x19 on the rear, engulfed in 225/35 and 255/35 tires, respectively.
The LED mirror indicators and MEC Design's “Roof One Touch module (which allows the owner to open the electro-hydraulic roof on the move) complete the tuning package.
