We have seen lots of odd choices for modified cars, such as this V8-powered classic Fiat 500, but this one is easily more interesting. It is a Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126 - one of the best looking old saloons ever made by the premium German manufacturer.
However, while it may be an odd choice, the mod seems very well-made and the ‘Merc-Ster Truck’ can easily negotiate even the roughest terrain, as the attached video clearly shows. We also appreciate the originality of the whole concept - it is probably one of the few if not the only one of its kind in the world.
It would be nice to give it the full Iceland 4x4 treatment, like the Toyota Hilux modified on Top Gear, since it would only need a few extra bits and would look and function even better - a nice new paint job would also be welcome.
