Contrary to what you may think or what the name might suggest, the Oktoberfest organized by the guys from the BMW Car Club of America has nothing to do with the month that has the same name.
This year, for example, it took place in August, in Monterey, California and next year it will take place on June 16-20 in Beaver Creek, Colorado. However, the name of the event has something to do with Bavaria.
The Oktoberfest always takes place in Munich, Bavaria, Germany at the end of September and the beginning of October every year. Just as we're speaking, ceremonies are taking place over there for the 180th time.
This festival is just as much a part of Bavaria as BMW is and that's why is has the aforementioned name. For the 2013 gathering, three guys decided to make a sort-of 5-minute documentary about the people that usually attend such events.
Looking at and listening to them you'll soon come to realize just how much passion they invested into their cars and just how much this brand means to them. It's actually quite impressive and we really recommend watching the footage, if you're a true BMW fan.
