In the ever-sharper race for social media attention, seeing a Bugatti Veyron being taken for a wannabe offroading stint isn't that unusual nowadays. However, if you're looking for some serious offroading in a machine that was intended for speed and nothing else, you'll obviously need to take your car down the customization path.
This is precisely what an aficionado named Marcus Ian Meyer did with his 350Z. The resulting contraption, which you can check out in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, is the kind of ride that mixes rugged terrain abilities with throttle steering pleasures.

According to the Facebook profile of the Texan gearhead, the man works as a service technician, so his all-custom Z makes plenty of sense. Then again, this is just half the story. As we found out from his Instagram account, the offroading fan built the project together with his girlfriend - one of the videos below shows the coupe getting involved in serious fabrication work.

The Z was gifted with a long list of rugged terrain goodies, obviously starting with the wheel-tire combo. The lift job also required plenty of alignment work, while the belly of the beast, as well as its front and rear sides, are well protected.

Oh, and let's not forget the accessories, such as the LED lights and the extra luggage setup on the roof. With the offroad-ization having started last year, the Nissan currently comes with a winch, which a snorkel is in the works.

As the driver admits, the ground clearance still doesn't fully suit the couple's offroading needs, but this is the part where the underbody protection comes in handy.

A custom exhaust has also been added, so you can hear the naturally aspirated V6 of the thing screaming from the distance. This might just come in handy when you get stuck out there in the wilderness...

P.S.: This 350Z is definitely worthy of our jportscar (jacked-up sportscar) tag and we'll probably have to wait at least half a decade until carmakers come up with an official project of this kind (we expect Porsche to be among the first companies to enter the niche).

Still need more height . You can hear my belly hit the ground :p
