Officine GP’s Suzuki GSX1100 “Bomboogie” Is About as Classy as It Gets

The Pozzato brothers never ceased to impress us with their surreal pieces of moto artwork, and Bomboogie is among their finest examples.

Over the years, Officine GP’s Pozzato brothers have blessed the realm of custom motorcycles with several masterpieces, some of which have adorned autoevolution's pages. These include an otherworldly Suzuki GSX-S750 and one menacing MV Agusta Rivale with scrambler vibes, to name but a couple.

Today, we’ll be diving in for a closer examination of yet another fascinating machine born on Officine’s premises, namely a bespoke Suzuki GSX1100 that goes by the name of Bomboogie. Back in 2014, a reputed fashion brand of the same name approached Milan’s moto masters with the request of creating a representative two-wheeler for their clothing range.

The 1983 GSX1100 used as a basis is brought to life by a DOHC inline-four powerplant with sixteen valves and a colossal displacement of 1,074cc. This ruthless piece of air-cooled machinery will be more than happy to produce as much as 111 hp at 8,500 revs and up to 71 pound-feet (96 Nm) of crushing twist at 6,500 rpm.

Italy’s pros kicked things off by analyzing Bomboogie’s range to identify what design elements could be adopted by their one-off GSX. As such, the Pozzatos went about fabricating a four-piece saddle that wears one of the company’s iconic camo patterns. It sits on a custom seat pan, which then comes together with the bike’s new tail section to form a single unit.

Furthermore, the gas tank has been tastefully modified to accommodate a pair of stealthy panels, hosting laser-cut Bomboogie logos on both sides. The stock wheels have been discarded in favor of lighter Kineo counterparts, hugged by beefy all-terrain rubber. At the front, suspension duties are taken good care of by Marzocchi inverted forks, joined by a couple of Matris shock absorbers on the opposite end.

For a healthy dose of additional stopping power, the GSX1100’s brakes were honored with a set of top-grade Brembo calipers. The 1,074cc inline-four breathes a little more freely, thanks to an ominous four-into-two exhaust system that’s been painstakingly manufactured in-house. We also notice LED lighting modules replacing the original parts on both ends, while the finishing touches come in the forms of a Rizoma mirror, foot pegs, and levers.

All things considered, the Bomboogie is bound to leave just about any self-respecting petrolhead speechless!
