After a series of photos of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, which had been shot in almost complete darkness and without adequate lighting equipment, we now have BMW’s own official studio shots of the ultra-hot four-door coupe, courtesy of autoblog.nl.
As was expected, the Gran Coupe gets the same styling tweaks as the rest of the M range, featuring a more aggressive front bumper, quad exhausts at the back, larger side skirts, 19- or 20-inch bespoke rims, as well as a carbon-reinforced plastic roof.

The 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged engine is carried over unchanged, with the same 560 hp and 680 Nm output - it is exactly the same. We expect BMW to give more details closer to the car’s official reveal, which is slated to take place at the Detroit Auto Show, in January of next year.

Still, we would still have the regular M5 over this, any day, as it is simply a cheaper and more practical way to spend your hard-earned cash. Also, performance figures will probably be exactly the same, so it doesn`t really have an edge over the M5, except for the styling front, where its lower and sleeker profile make it look somewhat better...
