Yesterday, we brought you the news that Chevrolet would be announcing a brand new mid-size SUV based on the new Colorado pickup that debuted in Thailand. Now, the Automaker has made an official announcement, while also releasing this teaser photo of the vehicle in question for all to imagine.
The 2013 Trailblazer mid-size SUV will make its official debut at the upcoming Dubai international Motor Show on November 10th. But before that happens, we have to look over the teaser image and see what we can determine.
It looks like the lines of the doors, bonnet and headlights all match those on the Colorado. However, the “magic” happens from the C-pillar back, where the bed has been replaced by a regular SUV back. It’s clear that the pickup has been designed from the get-go to feature this configuration.
GM is calling it a "new global midsize platform developed by GM do Brasil". Sales will kick off in Thailand early next year, and the SUV should arrive stateside by the end of 2012.
