“Honey, let’s go. It doesn’t even matter where.” “But we’re on quarantine still, Boo. How are we supposed to leave?” “Don’t worry, I've got a plan. It’s like this; if we have a house on wheels, technically, we can’t be quarantined.”
Ok. So listen to what Boo has to say because he has a point. What happens in today’s world if you were to own a house on wheels? Well, I’m not sure what the laws and regulations for something like this would be, but if you had this idea and wanted to bring it to fruition, you really need to check out the Knaus Deseo.

Never heard of Knaus? Sure you have, we've featured a few of their works already. You’ll also find a few links here in the text to guide you to other amazing works of theirs. As for the Deseo, check out the gallery and then find your way back to the text to get a technical feel for it.

Unlike most other trailers or caravans that Knaus puts out, this has only one available floor layout. Why? If you had that look in the gallery, you would have understood by now that it really needs no other floor plan to meet your needs while on the road.

Just to get an idea for how big it is, its dimensions are as follows: 13.2 ft (402 cm) of usable length, 7.1 ft (216 cm) of width, and 6.4 ft (196 cm) of headroom. What does that all compute into? One hell of a living space able to meet the needs of a family of four.

Take the kitchen, for example. Here we find a two-burner cooker with glass cover, a stainless-steel sink, and a full-size faucet. No, not the folding kind; after all, it’s a home on wheels. A massive 108-liter fridge is also available. We'll also find plenty of storage space and what looks like a space for an oven. The entire kitchenette is also set up on something known as an Orga-Box - basically a self-contained unit that helps keep everything in place as you’re hitting the road.

To help take care of other food-included business, the bathroom is ready with a Knaus wash-basin fitting, a Thetford bench toilet, and sink basin with another full-sized faucet. What I enjoy the most about this space, aside from the meditating that goes on, is the way everything can be hidden behind cabinet doors. The dining room is just as versatile as the rest of the spaces. Here, one possible bed will be created and is filled with storage space for your knick-knacks. The table and seating can also be easily removed and taken outside for dining under the stars.

For water needs, the Deseo is equipped with a 45-liter (11.9-gallon) tank. All that water is put into motion by a submerged pump that feeds hot water, waste water, and assists in heating. There’s even a central wastewater pipeline setup and an external drain under the flooring.

For a moment, let’s take a little trip into fantasy land. Think of what it would be like to take the family out on a trip in this. Good, let that feeling and imagery set in. Got a feel for it? Okay, now let’s try another idea: leave the kids at home!

With this last idea, you can look into boosting your Deseo with the Transport Plus package and equip your home with a motorcycle garage. Just make sure your kids are in good hands because things are going to get wild in your Deseo.

Listen, enough talk. If you like what you see and want to find out a bit more, click here to check out all the options and talk it over with yourself. You’ll probably reach the same conclusion as everyone else. The only downside is you’ll have to use a dealership to grab one. So get in there and haggle!
