The VW Golf R was the canvas on which Oettinger drew their impression of a super hatchback sharing some DNA with the Hulk. The result is called R500 and boy, it's a beast!
While the outside of the car looks like it could slice through a dense forest and turn everything into safety matches, it's the engine that actually impresses.

Namely, the 2.5-liter five-cylinder TFSI engine went through severe changes that include the addition of a new turbocharger, forged piston, and an optimized ECU. That wasn't enough to reach the 518 HP target, so engineers threw a new air intake, a redesigned cooling system, and a sports exhaust into the mix.

The result is the power figure mentioned above and a maximum torque of 680 Nm (501 lb-ft). After it escalated such heights, the VW Golf R500 is in the position of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds. The car is also capable of reaching 300 km/h (186 mph), so the first playground we can think of for this car is without any doubt the German autobahn.

There's no point in talking too much about the exterior styling since we've got a set of pictures to tell that story. However, we'll just mention that the Golf R500 received a wide body kit and ATS forged wheels, with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires wrapped around them.

When and if the car goes into production - which will be very limited - potential customers should be able to buy one for a rather hefty sum of money, although Oettinger is not giving any info on pricing at this moment.
